P for Portraits

I was asked by some acquaintances to put up a few older portraits that they saw from my photos.
And I agree this page is a bit empty so here are two portraits.
One is referenced from myself, except lighting.
The other is referenced from a girl I met a few months ago.

My 1month Adventure in England.

A couple of weeks ago I left for England to work.
It was a disheartening experience.
I arrived happy and full of hopes.
I started working at a factory 2days later.
The work was simple but my fingers hurt too much to even hold a pen.

I went to Leicester, which I have to say is more Pakistan/india/poland.
It took 2weeks before I actually saw and spoke to an actual brit.
People here hardly speak any English at all, even in the stores.

It has been an adventure and I'm glad I had it.
I am however happier that it is finally over.
Here is a short list of revelations I've had whilst my stay.

-Painting on the streets will result in a swift act by the authorities to "stop disturbing the peace"
-All brits look like chickens because they only eat at Maryland.
-The most spoken word in Leicester is "Kurwa". It is polish for "Bitch" or "Fuck"
-In the UK 60yo+ grannies wear spiked hairstyles and punk rock clothes.
-In the UK, Women are fat. (J/K :P)
-Getting a bank account in the UK will take you 3-4weeks of back and forth daily.
-With determination and desire, you can accomplish great deads.
-It is possible to live on only 3 small sandwiches a day for 3days.

I know it's not much of a big deal, but it's a step in the right direction.
It's a small, not too fancy café in a place called Göksäter (located on the island Tjörn)
Many tourists and families go there every summer.
They did not allow any nailing to the walls so I had to work out some kind of Wire solution.. it's not the fanciest but its the paintings you should be looking at, that's what matters at least.
I included a picture of myself too~ I look so horrible on camera :D

The paintings are of course for sale!

Where the sun Shines.

Having a bunch of pictures printed today for my art exhibit thing!
It was pure luck I finished this piece in time!

Feel the pressure~

The days are growing shorter and the pressure grows bigger.
And I haven't made any huge progress either. I need to get off my arse and get to work if I want to have something new at my next art show!

In that spirit here's a 3hour speedy.. Apart from the horizon being too close to the middle (rookie mistake) I'm okay with it.

I'll call it Fiery Sunset. :O

Oh! Aren't I enthusiastic, Here's another drawing as a contrast to the previous warm one.

Two Recent Paintings

So.. Lately I've been inspired by ZhangLu and his portraiture DVD.
Made a selfportrait (Profile pic.. Aren't I cute? ^3^)
And This.. rock.. dude thing.. I have no clue.
It was inspired by the song Puppet by Thousand Foot Kructh.

And uhm, I saw this really freaky tree in the middle of the woods and it kinda looked like it was used to hang people in it. Naturally something like that had to be painted.
'Dead Tree' Huggers!

The whole setting is kind of Princess mononoke inspired along with Thomas Scholes wonderfun (yes fun) use of color and weird shapes!
